Something needs to change !?

For the Unit 10 project, we're asked to design and make something that is to sell, so it means something that not only of interest to me but most importantly to other people too, I think what I am struggling now is how to present the relationships between objects and emotions of its user and itself then make a design. One concept that I thought was very interesting which is that how people more often then not try to express themselves nonverbally with the objects that they have and wear. People buy thousand pound purses and ipods for the brand name and what that means. People have a tendency to judge one another for different material possessions. People also look at how large or expensive these items are. Men drive big trucks to show how manly they are. While executives have large desks to prove how powerful they are in their company. In the same way people decorate their houses a certain way to attract attention to the different rooms and to express different moods. Every item is placed with some sort of intent to make a person feel a certain way. I think that it is interesting that these items can be just as expressive as a person expressing themselves nonverbally with facial expressions and body language. That can be called an object language but is it too abstract and personal, I know I am now having a hard time of how to develop it. So, I talked to my friends about what I have so far, then we agreed I should firstly to experiment on myself and see what I can get.
